How does Spacefinder contribute to sustainable development?

A tenant change in office premises often involves extensive demolition and adjustments to meet the needs of the new tenant. Spacefinder focuses on layout rather than area and helps businesses find office spaces that fit their needs as closely as possible "as-is." In this way, the need for unnecessary construction and material use is reduced. Solutions become resource-efficient and economical for both landlords and tenants. By matching the right business with the right layout, we contribute significantly to the reuse of existing materials and solutions.

How does Spacefinder contribute to sustainable development?

Highlighting surplus space

Spacefinder has developed a marketplace for commercial spaces, where advertising is based on concrete information about available space combinations and layouts rather than general property listings. In addition, Spacefinder serves as a channel for spaces that are unused and intended for sublease. By better utilizing the actual available capacity in the market, the need for new construction is reduced. This is crucial for cutting greenhouse gas emissions in the building and real estate sector, which, according to Byggalliansen, accounts for around 70 percent of emissions. Spacefinder thus contributes to a more sustainable and efficient use of existing office spaces.

Decent work and economic growth

Spacefinder indirectly contributes to economic growth for small and medium-sized enterprises by making it easier to find office spaces that meet their needs. By reducing time, costs, and resource use associated with remodeling and adapting office premises, we facilitate more sustainable operations and value creation. Although we do not directly create jobs, we support the productivity and stability of the SME segment, which are central elements of Sustainable Development Goal 8.

By promoting reuse and better utilization of commercial real estate, we support the vision of sustainable cities and communities.

This reduces waste and environmental impact associated with the construction and real estate sector.
